phantomroleplaypositivity:

theladyoperaghost hasn’t been too terribly active, but they are such a wonderful genderswapped Erik. The backstory and emotional depth they give to their Erika is astounding. She is her own person without ever betraying the Phantom narrative.

A big thanks to whoever sent this in. Yeah, this blog has been pretty inactive for a while even before the site made some changes, though Erika herself is still as strong a muse as ever, but this new Tumblr update, if it’s not fixed this’ll be the last post here. I’m leaving the blog up as an archive, though, so hopefully it doesn’t get purged for being inactive or anything cause I’ve got a lot of amazing memories tucked away here.

And a big thanks to everyone who’s helped make those memories, even though a lot of them are gone, but the two most important, we’ll just carry on elsewhere, huh? XD Our stories have changed and grown like weeds since the beginning, and even though what we consider the base verse isn’t addressed that much anymore, it’s still what started this madness we’ve since created, and I am so, so blessed to have met and kept you both for three years. Three years, can you believe that?

So here’s to all the stories we’ve told, and the ones we’ll no doubt continue to tell, and the root that started in all.

Thanks, guys.

Lady. O. G.

What do we say to the god of death?
Persephone: knock knock
Hades: who's there?
Persephone: it's September hope you're ready to bang like a screen door in a hurricane

our-blood-is-thicker:

“Ramon –” The look in his eyes more than scared her. It terrified her. A oozing cold crept in to her stomach, calming the scalding temper making it churn. All it left her with was a nauseating dizziness. “Ramon.”

Caolinn startled badly as his hands clamped down on her, making her lean back with concern in her eyes. He would not hurt her – Not even after she had (regretfully) slapped him. She had faith in that still. His gentleness - Some of that still had to exist. Her Ramon still had to be there in him… right?

I love you too – I would think that my decision would be very clear the day that I married y o u. Even more so when our son was born – You and him are my world. I want my family to be safe and happy.”

Perhaps he just did not want to see the fear in her eyes, how she pulled away from him, not at first. Trying to wrap his mind around her words, to actually allow them to sink into his understanding. Why he resisted it, resisted her, what they had, Ramon could not begin to describe. He was angry, yes, at everyone else, except her. Diego. Carlito had not been quite so terrible…

The longer he stared at her…it finally gave in. Like he suddenly woke, that harshness draining from his eyes and the set of his shoulders, giving way to crippling regret. Sinking to his knees Ramon muttered over and over, “I’m sorry–I’m sorry…” He had come back into this house on his knees before her, and that was where he belonged. Gripping her skirts, though he shed no more tears.

“I do not know what to do. I don’t know how to fix this. I don’t know–”

our-blood-is-thicker:

She was shocked. S H O C K E D at the man she so lovingly called Husband. Had he not heard anything she was saying until that moment? Her anger turned sickly in her stomach. Lips pressing together as she listened to him berate her for something that HAD NOT HAPPENED. Caolinn could have slapped in that moment for his stupidity … A thought that her hand saw fit to carry out.

Her fingers tingled from the impact against his exposed cheek. Green-blue eyes stared at the blooming red mark left behind. The strange sensation radiated all the way up her palm, past her wrist. A moment of disbelief that she had actually hit him was pushed aside for her anger once again.

H O W dare you think that I would LET a man like that in OUR home? How little you must think of me – You are being a fool, Ramon. Armand is not a good enough reason for anything. He is not worth such consideration. OUR family is. I would think it would be enough to keep yourself from the noose and at my side.”

The slap not only rattled his teeth, but it shattered every thought in his mind, his functionality. Standing there motionless, not even turning his head back to face her. Strands of his unruly hair sliding across his burning cheek.

She hit him.

Caolinn h i t him.

A look of misunderstanding, confusion, eased onto his face. Armand…not in the house. He– He was like a wolf at their door, instead. Just waiting for the opportunity to steal everything from Ramon. That–seemed more logical. More precise. More real. As real as the sting in his face, the anger in her eyes. As real as the fact that Ramon was no longer the same man, no longer quite so naive, a man who has shaken hands with death before turning his back on hellish eternity and for what?

He turned towards her, deathly silent, a hardness in his eyes she might not recognize. No longer repentant for the murder he once confessed in tears to her. He did not care. Why should he?

Stalking forward, Ramon snatched her shoulders, staring directly into her eyes.

“I love you. More than I can stand, more than I can fathom, but I do not know how I can remain in this city, wanted as I am, and with your father’s clear dismissal of me. He could have done something and instead he left me to hang for nothing. Is this what you want, Caolinn? Tell me this is what you truly want.”

[ My prowess in making a woman happy isn’t really in question here, Compadre. As for you FIXING everything – does that mean that things are all patched now between you and the Captain? That is an amazing feat. How did you manage that one, Alvarez? ]

image

[ N o, not the Captain, dimwit, I fixed what was important. With Caolinn. Totally great. On the same page and everything. The Captain doesn’t want to fix anything so there’s not a damn thing I can do, apparently. ]

[ That would be more effective if I CARED. It’s the difference between
you  and  I. I do not have to worry about someone  else’s  happiness.
Course  –  you  already  screwed  that  up  pretty  decently  already.  ]

[ Whatever. If you don’t want to face that you have less in the world than even I do, that’s fine. Couldn’t make a woman happy if you tried. And I’ll have you know everything is great. I screwed up but I damn well fixed it so screw you. ]
